The Trustees of Te Rūnanga o NgāiTakoto give notice of a Special General Meeting (SGM) of Adult Registered Members:
Date: Saturday, 23 August 2025 | Time: 10.00 AM | Venue: Ngāpae Holiday Park, 6 Matai Street, Waipapakauri.
Your voice matters! This Special General Meeting is an invaluable opportunity for you to influence the direction of Te Rūnanga o NgāiTakoto. Participate in shaping our governance and ensure that your concerns and ideas are heard.

Key Information
- The restated Trust Deed replaces the current Trust Deed in full.
- Voting is open to all Adult Registered Members of NgāiTakoto (18 years old and over).
- Only one (1) vote may be cast per Adult Registered Member of NgāiTakoto.
- All valid votes must be received no later than the respective closing dates stated above.
- The Chief Returning Officer (not a Trustee or employee of the Trust) has been appointed to oversee all aspects of voting, ensure integrity of the process, and count the votes.
- A copy of the proposed restated Trust Deed and explanatory information will be made available on our website before voting opens.
Voting Details
Option 1: Online Voting:
• Opens: Monday, 28 July 2025
• Closes: Wednesday, 20 August 2025
• Voting instructions and secure access will be provided to all Adult Registered Members with known contact details. This must be completed by Wednesday 20th August 2025
Option 2: Onsite Voting:
Available on the day of the SGM (Saturday, 23 August 2025) at Ngāpae Holiday Park. This must be completed by 10.30 am, Saturday 23rd August 2025.
Option 3: Postal Voting:
Post your completed voting paper back to the Chief Returning Officer, 30 Dover Road, Hamilton 3200, New Zealand or drop your voting paper into our office 16 Matthews Avenue, Kaitaia. This must be received by Wednesday 20th August 2025.
