Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Takoto Tangihanga support was established in January 2018. The overall aim of Ngāi Takoto Tangihanga support is to assist our Ngāi Takoto whānau during this time of bereavement and when experiencing financial hardship.

Tangihanga support is available to all members of Ngāi Takoto descent who are registered with Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Takoto.

Funeral Grant Criteria:
Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Takoto Tangihanga support are open to Ngāi Takoto Members residing in New Zealand Only, To be eligible all applicants must fulfil the following criteria:

• Be registered to Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Takoto.
• Must complete an application form and return with any supporting documentation
• Deceased must be returning to one of four Ngāi Takoto Marae: Te Paa a Parore, Waimanoni, Wharemaru o Kaimaumau, Mahimaru.

2nd September 2024: We appreciate the strong interest in our scholarships and grants this year. As previously communicated, an internal review of all submissions is still underway. The application period is now officially closed, and our team is diligently working through the review process.
