Trustee Elections Update
The Board plays an important role in safeguarding the aspirations, assets, and future wellbeing of NgāiTakoto. Trustees are entrusted to provide governance, leadership, and strategic direction on behalf of present and future generations of our Iwi.
Ngā mihi nui to everyone who put their name forward for nomination as a Trustee of Te Rūnanga o NgāiTakoto.
Standing to represent our Marae and Iwi, and to contribute to the future of our people, is a significant responsibility. We acknowledge each of you for your willingness and commitment to being part of the future of our Iwi, and to the continued growth and wellbeing of NgāiTakoto.
Marae Trustees Elected Unopposed 2026
Te Rūnanga o NgāiTakoto is pleased to announce the successful Marae Trustee nominees. We acknowledge and congratulate those who have accepted the responsibility to represent their Marae and contribute to the governance and future of TRoNT.
Following the close of nominations, one nomination was received for each of the four Marae Trustee seats. As there was only a single nomination for each position, no election was required in accordance with Schedule 3 of the Trust Deed.
Each Marae has confirmed the active participation of their nominee under Schedule 3, Clause 1.1(e). We are pleased to confirm the following nominees have been elected unopposed, and will be formally confirmed as Trustees at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM):
